Scouts make an excellent addition to a party. Their Scouting skill allows spotting of many locations, lifeforms, etc. that would otherwise go unnoticed. They do have the ability to ride horses well, and even do a bit of tracking (although Bounty Hunters are better). Because they traverse so much land, they can drastically improve travel efficiency and even help the party flee from bad situations. They do have the ability to use some firearms and crossbows, as well as a few crude melee weapons.
