Condition Types
Accelerated:
The lifeform has an increase in Initiative.
Affixed:
The lifeform is incapable of unequipping or setting down an item. The effect is of magical nature.
Afraid:
The lifeform is frightened, which results in a 15% chance to cower for a moment. Also decreases the chance to hit an enemy by 25%.
Aged:
Indicates the lifeform is somewhat old, relative to its race. This minorly affects some attributes (in a negative way).
Amok:
Indicates the lifeform is currently running amok and attacking their allies.
Animated Dead:
The lifeform has been brought back to life in a supernatural fashion, but is not under its own control. The computer will control all actions during combat, and the animated lifeform will not perform any voluntary actions for the player.
Anti Magic:
Indicates the lifeform is incapable of performing magic. This prevents spell casting, including invoking spells from items and musical instruments.
Anxious:
The lifeform is anxious, and has an accelerated loss of stamina from being nervous.
Armor Decrease:
The lifeform has a decrease to their armor protection against physical attacks.
Armor Increase:
The lifeform has a boost to their armor protection against physical attacks.
Asleep:
The lifeform is unconscious, but can easily be awakened. It is unable to perform any actions. This also results in effective dodging of -200.
Bleeding:
The lifeform is bleeding and its circulatory system health is deteriorating over time.
Blessed:
The lifeform has a magical increase to Confidence and Spirituality.
Blinded:
The lifeform can't see anything via light. This results in -100% chance to hit any opponents, and effective dodging of -200. The lifeform's sense of sight drops to 0. This results in a smaller viewable area in-game, if that lifeform had the largest sense of sight compared to other party members.
Body Restrained:
Indicates the lifeform is incapable of moving its entire body, but can still speak (i.e. still cast spells or call for help). Any example of this is being entangled in a web, or bear hugged.
Burning:
The lifeform is on fire and its physical health is deteriorating over time.
Charmed:
Indicates the lifeform is under the control of another entity, and cannot make their own decisions.
Circulatory System Health Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their circulatory system health regeneration.
Cold Damage Increase:
The lifeform inflicts additional physical damage (cold resistance check) when hitting a target.
Comatose:
The lifeform is in a coma, and unable to perform any actions. It cannot be awakened by normal means. For combat purposes, this results in 'slain' status.
Confused:
The lifeform has a 75% chance to look around in confusion for a moment.
Cowering:
The lifeform is cowering involuntarily, due to fear. They lose the ability to perform any other action while cowering.
Cursed:
The lifeform is under a curse, which causes all random rolls that normall check between 1 and 100 (low being better), to check between 35 and 100. This affects almost all random calculations in a negative way. This affects combat and non-combat situations (like skill use, treasure finding, spell casting, etc.).
Dancing:
Indicates the lifeform is currently performing a little jig. The lifeform loses their turn/actions for the duration of the jig, but gains a dodge bonus.
Dead:
The lifeform is dead. For combat purposes, this results in 'slain' status.
Deaf:
The lifeform is literally deaf, and cannot hear any sounds. The results in sense of hearing being 0, which can affect detecting lifeforms and other sounds. There is a benefit however. Magical Bard instruments require the targets to hear in order for the magical effect to work, rendering the lifeform immune.
Decapitated:
The lifeform no longer has a head (or multiple heads). If the lifeform has a brain, this results in it being dead. For combat purposes, this results in 'slain' status.
Decaying:
The lifeform is decaying and its physical health is deteriorating over time.
Decrepit:
Indicates the lifeform is very old, relative to its race. This drastically affects many attributes (in a negative way).
Defended By Ally:
Indicates the lifeform is being protected/defended by one of their allies. The ally may block or take damage on their behalf.
Dehydrated:
The lifeform is dehydrated, due to lack of water. Stamina and circulatory system health will continue to deteriorate over time. Consuming food/drink that has hydration can remove this condition.
Destroyed:
The lifeform is utterly destroyed. There may not even be ashes left! For combat purposes, this results in 'slain' status.
Detect Hidden:
Indicates the lifeform can detect other hidden lifeforms with ease.
Detect Invisible:
Indicates the lifeform can see invisible lifeforms.
Device Malfunction:
The lifeform cannot operate any mechanical (magical or non-magical) device. Any attempt to operation such devices will result in failure.
Discouraged:
The lifeform has a decrease in Confidence.
Diseased:
The lifeform has a disease, which prevents healing. Some of the lifeform's attributes will also deteriorate over time.
Disfigured:
Indicates the lifeform is disfigured, and has a decrease in Charisma.
Dissolving:
The lifeform is dissolving and its physical health is deteriorating over time.
Distracted:
The lifeform is easily distracted, and not as aware of its surroundings. This results in -30% to dodging, oratory (casting spells), shielding, and parrying.
Dizzy:
The lifeform is dizzy. During combat, there is a 15% chance the lifeform may stumble and momentarily lose their action. This also results in a decrease in dodge skill by 35% and attack skills by 20% for the duration of the dizziness.
Drunk:
The lifeform is drunk. During combat, there is a 15% chance the lifeform may stumble and momentarily lose their action. This also results in a decrease in dodge skill by 35% and attack skills by 20%. Lastly, some actions experience an increased delay with initiative by 1 second.
Enlightened:
The lifeform has an increase to Intelligence, Wisdom, and Logic.
Enraged:
Causes the lifeform to be enraged. This results in a decreased ability to dodge in combat, and a decrease in intelligence. The benefit is an increase in strength.
Ethereal:
Indicates the lifeform has no physical form. Ghosts, spirits, etc. are ethereal beings with this condition. It is possible for a normal physical lifeform to become ethereal through magical means, or traveling to other dimensions. Since there is no physical form, the lifeform cannot be harmed by physical damage types.
Far Sight:
The lifeform has the ability to identify target locations, and places of interested, from great distances.
Fire Damage Increase:
The lifeform inflicts additional physical damage (fire resistance check) when hitting a target.
Freezing:
The lifeform is freezing solid and its circulatory system and nervous system health is deteriorating over time.
Guardian Angel Protection:
The lifeform is protected by a guardian angel, which increases maximum physical health.
Hallucinating:
The lifeform is hallucinating and seeing things that aren't there. Each round, the lifeform has a 15% chance to cower, 10% chance to perform no action, or 10% chance to run amok and attack their own party.
Hardened:
The lifeform's equipment has an increase in hardness. This helps prevent it from becoming damaged. For weapons, they also have an increased chance of causing optimal damage to opponents, as well as causing increased damage to their armor.
Hastened:
The lifeform has an increase in Speed.
Hexed:
The lifeform has a decrease in Perception, Dexterity, and Agility.
Hidden:
Indicates the lifeform is hiding, and harder to detect by others.
Hypnotized:
Indicates the lifeform is under hypnosis, and cannot perform any actions by its own will. It is similar to being Paralyzed (including dodge loss), except even mental conditions cannot be performed. The other side effect to being hypnotized is that everyone is 50% more likeable.
Impaired Lower Limb:
The lifeform has an injury that prevents usage of lower body or weight bearing limbs.
Impaired Upper Limb:
The lifeform has an injury that prevents usage of upper body limbs.
Increased Acid Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Acid.
Increased Affixation Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Affixation.
Increased Base Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Base.
Increased Blind Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Blind.
Increased Burn Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Burn.
Increased Caustic Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Caustic.
Increased Charm Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Charm.
Increased Chemical Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Chemical.
Increased Circulatory System Force Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Circulatory System Force.
Increased Cold Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Cold.
Increased Coma Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Coma.
Increased Confound Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Confound.
Increased Confusion Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Confusion.
Increased Curse Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Curse.
Increased Death Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Death.
Increased Dehydration Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Dehydration.
Increased Destroy Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Destroy.
Increased Disease Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Disease.
Increased Disfigure Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Disfigure.
Increased Distraction Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Distraction.
Increased Electrical Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Electrical.
Increased Energy Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Energy.
Increased Fear Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Fear.
Increased Fire Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Fire.
Increased Freeze Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Freeze.
Increased Frost Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Frost.
Increased Hand Disarming Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Hand Disarming.
Increased Heat Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Heat.
Increased Infection Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Infection.
Increased Insanity Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Insanity.
Increased Intoxication Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Intoxication.
Increased Irritation Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Irritation.
Increased Light Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Light.
Increased Malnutrition Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Malnutrition.
Increased Mental Force Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Mental Force.
Increased Nausea Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Nausea.
Increased Nervous System Force Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Nervous System Force.
Increased Paralysis Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Paralysis.
Increased Physical Force Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Physical Force.
Increased Poison Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Poison.
Increased Possession Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Possession.
Increased Radiation Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Radiation.
Increased Respiratory System Force Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Respiratory System Force.
Increased Sound Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Sound.
Increased Starvation Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Starvation.
Increased Temperature Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Temperature.
Increased Tether Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Tether.
Increased Weakness Resistance:
The lifeform has an increased resistance to Weakness.
Infected:
The lifeform has an internal infection and its circulatory system health is deteriorating over time.
Inner Fire:
The lifeform has a magical increase to Speed and Agility.
Insane:
The lifeform is literally insane. This results in a 25% chance to perform no action during combat, and a 15% chance to run amok and perform hostile actions against other members of their party.
Inspired:
The lifeform has a magical increase to Confidence and Will.
Intoxicated:
The lifeform is intoxicated with some type of drug or chemical. This can result in other various random conditions, such as Anxiety, Distracted, Stupid, or Dizzy. During combat, there is a 15% chance the lifeform may stumble and momentarily lose their action. This also results in a decrease in dodge skill by 35% and attack skills by 20%. Lastly, some actions experience an increased delay with initiative by 1 second.
Invisible:
Indicates the lifeform is invisible, and impossible to see with light.
Irritated:
The lifeform has an irritation that causes severe itchiness. During combat, it results in -15% chance to dodge, parry, cast spells, or attack another lifeform. The irritation also slightly decreases initiative of actions.
Level Drained:
Indicates the lifeform has experienced a decrease in its calculated level. Level affects most calculations when comparing another lifeform. This is especially important in combat. Once a level drain has been removed, the lifeform's level will return to normal.
Levitating:
The lifeform is levitating slightly above the ground. This prevents stepping on anything such as spikes, lava, ground traps, etc.
Malevolent:
Indicates the lifeform has deep hatred for their own party, and will do everything at its disposal to destroy the other party members.
Malnourished:
The lifeform has a lack of nutrition from food/drink. This can eventually lead to the diseased condition. Consuming food/drink that has nutrition can remove this condition, but will not cure any disease that has since formed. The disease would need to be cured by other means.
Mana Vortex:
The lifeform has a boost to their maximum mana, beyond normal limits.
Melee Defense Crush Damage:
Indicates that anytime the lifeform is attacked with a close range melee weapon, the attacker receives physical damage (crush resistance check) in return.
Melee Defense Cut Damage:
Indicates that anytime the lifeform is attacked with a close range melee weapon, the attacker receives physical damage (cut resistance check) in return.
Melee Defense Pierce Damage:
Indicates that anytime the lifeform is attacked with a close range melee weapon, the attacker receives physical damage (pierce resistance check) in return.
Melee Retaliation:
The lifeform is under an effect that allows them to automatically attack back when hit with a melee weapon (as long as within range, and capable). The number of retaliations it unlimited in a given round.
Mental Fortitude:
The lifeform has a boost to their maximum mental health, beyond normal limits.
Mental Health Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their mental health regeneration.
Mirror Image:
The lifeform has a magical mirror image effect on them. The mirror images can cause an attacker who specifically targets the lifeform to hit an image, instead of the real lifeform.
Mounted:
Indicates the lifeform is currently riding (i.e. mounted on top of) another lifeform. Typically this is a horse or donkey, but could be other beasts (including flying ones).
Movement Restrained:
Indicates the lifeform is incapable of moving its lower body, but can still control the upper body. Any example of this is being entangled in roots on the ground, or being stuck in quicksand.
Nauseated:
The lifeform is nauseated, and has a hard time focusing on its foes. This results in -25% chance to dodge and parry. There is also a 20% chance the target will choke and gag, which results in momentary loss of action.
Nervous System Health Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their nervous system health regeneration.
Old:
Indicates the lifeform is old, relative to its race. This affects some attributes (in a negative way).
Paralyzed:
Indicates the lifeform cannot physically move, including their mouth or any other body part. It may be possible to still perform purely mental tasks or actions. The lifeform becomes much easier to hit since it cannot dodge. This results in effective dodging of -200.
Petrified:
Indicates the lifeform has been turned to stone. For combat purposes, this results in 'slain' status.
Physical Health Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their physical health regeneration.
Poisoned:
The lifeform is poisoned and its circulatory system health is deteriorating over time.
Possessed:
The body of the lifeform is possessed by an evil spirit. The effects are similar to the Malevolent condition, except it is spiritual in nature.
Range Retaliation:
The lifeform is under an effect that allows them to automatically attack back when hit with a ranged weapon (as long as within range, and capable). The number of retaliations it unlimited in a given round.
Relieve Aging:
Indicates the lifeform is not experiencing any of the effects of age (including death from old age), no matter how old they are.
Respiratory System Health Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their respiratory system health regeneration.
Silenced:
The lifeform is incapable of intelligable speech. This does not mean the lifeform can't make random noises. This does however, prevent speaking or casting of spells by means of Oratory.
Slowed:
The lifeform has a decrease in Speed.
Softened:
The lifeform's equipment has a decrease in hardness. This leads to equipment being easier to damage. For weapons, they also have a decreased chance of causing damage to opponents, as well as causing decreased damage to their armor.
Spell Effect Increase:
Indicates the lifeform has increased effects when casting spells. This means either increase in effect and/or duration.
Spell Power Level Increase:
The lifeform has an automatic boost to their power level for spell casting.
Stamina Regeneration:
The lifeform has a boost to their stamina regeneration.
Starving:
The lifeform is starving, due to lack of energy from food/drink. Strength and stamina will continue to deteriorate over time. Consuming food/drink that has sustenance can remove this condition.
Strengthened:
The lifeform has an increase in Strength.
Stupid:
The lifeform has a decrease to Intelligence, Wisdom, and Logic.
Suffocating:
The lifeform is suffocating and its respiratory system health and stamina is deteriorating over time.
Summoner:
Indicates the lifeform is an active summoner of an entity. If the entity's timespan runs out, or is dismissed from the party, the condition will disappear.
Supernatural Health:
Indicates the lifeform has a boost to their maximum physical health, beyond normal limits.
Terminal:
Indicates the lifeform is terminally ill, and can die at any moment.
Tethered:
The lifeform is under a special magical effect. If an equipped item is dropped or discarded, the lifeform may find it back in their possession at any time, and equipped once again!
Transmuted:
Indicates the lifeform has been turned into some other physical form. Could be a statue, a toad, a sheep, etc. If the transmute is another physical lifeform, it may be possible to perform native actions of that race. If it's an inanimate object, well, the lifeform is out of luck.
Unconscious:
The lifeform is unconscious, and may be difficult to awaken. It is unable to perform any actions. This also results in effective dodging of -200.
Voluntarily Asleep:
The lifeform has been made unconscious by the player, so it can be instantly awakened by chosing an action. The purpose of this status is to speed up recovery/healing.
Weakened:
The lifeform is suffering from weakness. This results in a decrease of strength.
X-Ray Vision:
The lifeform has the ability to see through walls and containers.
